THE TOWN WAS NAMED AFTER THE LAST GREAT IOWA INDIAN CHIEF, AND THE IOWA-SAC-FOX INDIAN RESERVATION IS NEARBY. SOME PEOPLE WOULD LIKE TO SEE WHITE CLOUD RESTORED AS AN EXAMPLE OF A 19TH CENTURY KANSAS RIVER TOWN
